IMPORTANT NOTICE
Please note that we are not in control of the campsites we are issued with from the Institute of National Culture. In general
Your campsite allocation is dependent on how early you book, or rather, how many permits are left. The first 250 spaces are generally given to Winay Wayna (3rd campsite) and thereafter you will have a longer walk to Machu Picchu on the last day and it could mean you do not make it for sunrise. Do not let this disappoint you as Machu Picchu is marvelous in itself!
You also have to bring your original passport with you on the trek, with the same passport number you originally made your reservation with. Otherwise you will be unable to go on the trek. There will be no refund in this case. Photocopies are no longer acceptable. The government and the train reserve the right to increase the entrance fee at any time and may only give us one or two week’s notice.
Cancellation
All cancellations of confirmed reservations are subject to a $500 per
person fee. This is required for permits. If you require an additional porter, Singles Adventures,LLC must be informed at time of payment. The porter has to given a permit as well.
Cancellations 90 days or more prior to departure will receive
refund less $500. 30-59 days will
be subject to loss of 50% of program price, less $500. 29 days or less will be
subject to 100% of program price.
We will exercise best efforts to book hotels per the itinerary, however,
in busy seasons and with member bookings made within 60 days of trip
date we may be forced to offer alternates.
Insurance
We strongly recommend the purchase of trip cancellation insurance, which
is available for coverage of expenses in conjunction with cancellation
due to illness, accident or loss of job. Baggage insurance is also
recommended.
In the event that you must cancel your participation in a travel
program,
trip cancellation insurance may be the only source of
reimbursement.
