Get a good nights sleep because the adventures start early in the morning at 6:00 AM..

August 23
Journey 2 ½ hours east, stopping for a breakfast along the way.
You will start your day whitewater rafting, when you arrive at the world’s premier Whitewater rafting rain forest river, the Pacuare.
Keep your eyes open for the Cabecar Indians, the largest indigenous group in Costa Rica (they are friendly). Cabecar do not live in villages, but prefer small family units scattered throughout this isolated region that includes the Pacuare.

Watch for wildlife as the thick undergrowth provides shelter to jaguars, ocelots, monkeys, sloths, and numerous other species of animals and birds.

After arriving at the eco-lodge, we will have a lunch then go on a zip line. Two hours of adrenaline zipping through the tree tops on a cable, dramatic views and a rappel down a towering tree.

The rest of the day is to relax and catch your breath before we start another day of back to back adventures.

In the evening we will dine on a gourmet dinner by candlelight and then visit the upstairs lounge for a cocktail or refreshment before retiring to a restful night’s sleep. (B,L,D)
August 24
We will wake up to bird song and the soothing sound of the river nearby. Then start a delicious breakfast of homemade bread, tropical fruits, yogurt, eggs, pancakes, cereal and juice and coffee.
After breakfast, we will depart by raft for an even more fun-filled day of whitewater rafting excitement, including a delicious picnic lunch along the river.
We will be transferred to Arenal Observatory Lodge, which was originally built in 1987 as a Smithsonian Institute scientific research station to monitor the volcano.

In the evening you will go on a Liquid Lava Hike through the lush rain forest to an observation point to wait for the sunset.
At the end of the day, we will relax with a soak in the hot springs with drink in hand. After dinner we will retire back to the lodge for night time view of Arenal Volcano.

August 25
After a typical Costa Rico breakfast we will be transported to an experience of a lifetime – go where very few have had the privilege to roam.
We will be Waterfall Rappelling 4 hours, down 150 ft. to 200 ft. breath-taking waterfalls in a deep, jungle canyon while taking in the beauty of the rain forest.

Our next adventure begins with spectacular views of the Arenal Volcano and the green countryside as you travel by horseback to the 140-foot Río Fortuna waterfall. Then take a 20-minute hike to the river to cool off in the rushing waters beneath the waterfall.

After dinner, we will relax in a swimming pool or Jacuzzi while you watch Arenal Volcano.
